General Surgery


Cabinet Peaks Clinic General Surgery provides comprehensive evaluations and treatments to general surgery health conditions. We use surgical techniques that include minimally invasive procedures, specialized equipment and laparoscopic procedures. Our providers work closely with patients' referring physicians as well as other medical professionals to provide an individualized comprehensive experience. Cabinet Peaks Clinic General Surgery is dedicated to providing high-quality personalized surgical care to all of our patients.

EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Colonoscopy
Colon surgery
Splenectomy (removal of the spleen)
Percutaneous procedures (such as gastrostomy tubes)
Port-a-cath placements, removals and flushes
Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)

(Closed daily for lunch from 12pm - 1pm)

About Lance Ercanbrack, MD
General Surgeon Lance L. Ercanbrack, MD, joined the Cabinet Peaks Medical Center staff in 2000. He earned his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, and then completed his general surgery internship and residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He has been in private practice since 1997. Dr. Ercanbrack is currently a member of the surgical faculty at the University of Washington. His surgical practice includes open and laparoscopic surgery of the abdomen as well as hernia, breast and endoscopic surgeries. Dr. Ercanbrack and his wife, Lora, have raised two sons in Montana. Together they enjoy all that Montana offers, including fishing, hunting, camping, skiing and competitive shooting.

About Thad Kandel, MD
Dr. Kandel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Cabinet Peaks. He is American Board of Surgery Certified, Fundamentals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery Certified, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Trained in Pennsylvania, Dr. Kandel has been serving patients in Mitchell, South Dakota, and is eager to bring his skills to the residents of Libby and the surrounding areas.

About Niki Bothman, DNP, NP-C
Niki is a life long resident of Montana with a passion for the outdoors and rural healthcare. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent 6 years as a valuable member of the nursing team at CPMC while advancing her education. As a healthcare provider, she enjoys assisting and empowering her patients to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Niki is excited to continue to serve the local community as a nurse practitioner along side Dr. Ercanbrack.
