Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Senior Life Solutions Program Welcomes New Program Director
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is pleased to welcome Crystal Spiger, BSN, RN as the new Program Director at the Senior Life Solutions program.
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging. As Program Director, Crystal Spiger, BSN, RN will be responsible for Directing and coordinating the activities of program staff to ensure quality patient care and providing community education to create awareness of the program.
Crystal Spiger graduated from the University of South Dakota with an associate’s degree in nursing. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Maryville University. Crystal’s previous employment was in an outpatient psychiatric clinic in a rural community mental health center. She served as the medication clinic manager for four years. Her previous experience was in long-term care facilities.
Spiger said, “I am grateful to continue my journey with the elderly in the mental health field, I believe that rural communities desire and require the need of psychiatric services locally. I am excited to step into the community and provide outreach for individuals that would fit the services we offer. I feel that it is intertwining my experiences in long term care and psychiatric nursing.”
Anyone can refer a patient to the program, including a physician, family member, the patient, or another healthcare professional.
