Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Welcomes Dr. Thad Kandel to the General Surgery Team
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Thad Kandel to the Cabinet Peaks General Surgery Clinic, starting in mid-October. A highly accomplished surgeon, Dr. Kandel will work alongside Dr. Lance Ercanbrack to continue providing exceptional surgical care to the community. We want to reassure patients that Dr. Ercanbrack is not leaving, and this partnership strengthens our commitment to offering the highest level of care.
Dr. Kandel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Cabinet Peaks. He is American Board of Surgery Certified, Fundamentals of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery Certified, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Trained in Pennsylvania, Dr. Kandel has been serving patients in Mitchell, South Dakota, and is eager to bring his skills to the residents of Libby and the surrounding areas.

My family and I are excited to start this new chapter and become part of this wonderful community.”

Dr. Kandel, along with his significant other, Julie, and their 5-month-old son, Jude, will be joining the Libby community. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kandel enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking, shooting, and camping, making Libby an ideal place for him and his family.
With the addition of Dr. Kandel, Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is excited to continue expanding our surgical services and ensuring the community has access to top-tier medical care.
