Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation Invests in State-of-the-Art Fluoroscopy Machine for Enhanced Patient Care

The Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Foundation is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a cutting-edge fluoroscopy machine for the Imaging Department at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. The Shimadzu Fluorospeed X1 represents a significant advancement in diagnostic capabilities, ensuring top-notch radiographic image quality to bolster confidence in medical diagnoses.

The Fluorospeed X1 is a versatile, full multi-purpose fluoroscopy and X-ray suite that goes beyond traditional imaging solutions. Designed with versatility in mind, it caters to diverse situations, making it ideal for a wide range of examinations including orthopedics, radiographic studies, barium studies, swallow studies, and much more.

Not only does the equipment provide excellent radiographic images, it also enables CPMC’s Speech Pathologists to conduct more accurate and in-depth swallowing assessments locally. With the addition of the Shimadzu fluoroscopy unit and TIMS recording system, Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is now equipped to offer advanced swallowing modified barium swallow studies (MBSS). The MBSS procedure allows Speech Pathologists and physicians to collaboratively identify the root causes of swallowing issues, rule out aspiration, and make informed decisions regarding the management of patients' swallowing problems. This upgrade in technology exemplifies Cabinet Peaks Medical Center's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services to its community.
