Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Welcomes Riley Black to OB/GYN Clinic

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center (CPMC) is thrilled to announce that Riley Black, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, will be joining our OB/GYN Clinic as a new provider. Riley brings a wealth of experience and dedication to patient care that aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to our community.

Riley Black was born and has resided in Libby, MT, for the majority of her life. She graduated from Libby High School in 2008 and has worked in the medical field at various levels since then. In 2016, Riley earned her registered nurse degree from MSU-Northern, and she has since developed a robust background in geriatric and adult complex medicine, intensive psychiatry, community health, and infectious disease.

“I wish to be my patient’s day-to-day guide from the start of womanhood until her final days, and all the ups and downs in between,” Riley said about her approach to patient care. “I see women’s health as far more complex than reproductive organs alone and I will invest in your total body health and wellness to get to the root of issues for long-term health and wellness. Your quality of life is my top concern, and I am interested in treating your needs based on your personal goals and wishes.”

Riley has been a dedicated volunteer in the Libby community, serving on the Child Protective Services board, the Best Beginnings Coalition, the American Cancer Society, and Child Bridges of Montana. Additionally, she is a member of the Strong Hearts Ethiopia network and has participated in medical missions in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In 2024, Riley attained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Montana State University. She is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse in the State of Montana and is Nationally Board Certified in Family Practice by the ANCC. Riley has also received specialized forensic training as a sexual assault nurse examiner by the Montana Department of Justice and is a trained Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) presenter.

“We are delighted to welcome Riley Black to our OB/GYN Clinic,” said Tadd Greenfield, CEO at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. “Her extensive experience and commitment to patient care make her a valuable addition to our team. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on our community and the enhanced services she will provide to our patients.”

Riley enjoys outdoor recreation such as traveling, being on the river, gardening and landscape design, and bird watching. She also enjoys skiing and tennis. Riley shares these pursuits with her family, husband Seth, and daughter Maizey.

"I am enormously excited to join the ranks of the exemplary provider team at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center and look forward to this critical partnership and the opportunities for collaboration," Riley expressed about her new role at CPMC.
